What on earth is happening? What artists are saying.

Grossman’s work is included in a juried exhibition at MARK Arts, Wichita, Kansas, which opened on May 20, 2022. The three print panels are 24 x 12 inches, and speak to a series of extreme weather events the artist experienced in the previous years and describes phrases used in NOAA weather forecasts. The are entitled Red Flag Warning, Multiple Hazards in Effect, and Some Storms Could Be Severe.

The show, curated by sculptor and architect Bill McBride, presents perspectives on modern threats to life on Earth and what we can do to achieve harmony between humans and nature. The dynamic work on view will inspire discussion of what art can do to confront reality and inspire change. The exhibition explores the idea that human activities must be in concert with natural systems for the health of future generations.

There is also a site-specific public art installation by internationally acclaimed artist Patrick Dougherty at Mark Arts. Click here to learn more about Stickwork.
