Grossman was commissioned to create two large Flint Hills paintings for the museum’s annual meeting and reception on May 12, 2022, where members voted on one of the pieces for a new museum acquisition. Voters chose Spring Prairie – Two Ponds, a 52 x 50 inch, oil on canvas as their favorite. Grossman spoke about the paintings and her painting process at the meeting.
