Prairie Prints Statement:
I spent a lot of time in the printmaking department when I attended the University of Kansas from 1996 – 1999. I experimented a lot with serigraphy (or silkscreen), mono-prints, intaglio, and other relief techniques, interpreting my subjects, the prairies and Kansas River, as well as flocking birds. I have always approached printmaking with a painterly hand and I currently focus on mixed-media woodcut techniques.
