Kaw Ripples Statement:
The Kaw Ripples series was inspired by kayaking on the Kansas River, locally known as the Kaw. The high-contrast ripple patterns were mesmerizing and I used watercolor and acrylic to lend a sense of fluidity to the imagery in these small pieces.
