Grossman has several contributions to this signature event, held annually in June at various locations around the Flint Hills prairies of eastern Kansas. A day of activities and education designed to foster appreciation of the tallgrass ecosystem is capped off by an evening concert by the Kansas City Symphony.
Grossman donated two paintings to the benefit auction and has several paintings and an essay included in the Field Journal. Now in its 14th edition, this year’s Field Journal is dedicated to a topic that everyone’s comfortable discussing: the weather. Purchase a copy today in the online store (https://symphonyintheflinthills.wazala.com/…/2022…/) or get yours at the Signature Event on June 11, 2022.
There’s one week left to bid in the art auction. The paintings are shown below: Ridgelines, 12 x 46 in., oil on canvas, and Gust Front Sketch, 12 x 9 in., oil on panel. The prairie art exhibit can be viewed in person at the Symphony Gallery at 331 Broadway, Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, through June 14, 2022.
