Grossman was an artist-in-residence at Mesa Verde National Park for two weeks in May of 2009. She produced a number of plein air (open air) oils and watercolors in the park and gave two public demonstrations of her work process. It was an incredible privilege to stay in the park’s historic hogan and have access to some of the world’s most precious archeological sites, in some cases, before they were open to visitors for the summer season.
